The Underwater Museum of Art is the nation's first permanent underwater sculpture garden. The Cultural Arts Alliance partnered with the South Walton Artificial Reef Association to create the attraction. It's located in the Gulf of Mexico off Grayton Beach in Walton County, FL about 0.7 miles out and 60 feet down. The idea was presented by Allison, who served as the President of the Board of Directors of the Cultural Arts Alliance until 2020. Her concept, the Anamorphous Octopus, was chosen as one of the seven selected sculptures in the first call-to-artists for the UMA. Below is the concept drawing along with the finished product!
